The flameless explosion discharge system allows to discharge an explosion inside a building.
The flameless explosion discharge system consists of a vent panel or valve, topped by a device that traps the flame and allows the explosion pressure to be relieved while holding back the flames, sparks and dust.
Flameless explosion relief vents can be either circular or rectangular.
Flameless explosion relief systems are dimensioned the same way as explosion vents. However, the obstruction at the discharge, created by this device, requires the over-sizing of the equipment in order to achieve the expected efficiency. For this reason, flameless explosion discharge systems are foreseen for small volumes such as hoppers, filters, bucket elevators, etc.
The devices are ATEX certified for discharge of dust explosions within ATEX zone 22.
